Gingerbread Houses & Chocolate Covered Anything Day!

Rusty here,

How was everyone’s weekend?  Mine was fantastic!  I invited my best friends, Copper and Silver over to my dragon lair for a gingerbread house building competition!  Not that I’m trying to brag or anything, but mine was totally the winner.  Either way, we had so much putting them together and decorating with all the sweet treats.  My favorite part is taste testing the candy before putting it on my gingerbread house.  Speaking of sweet treats, did you guys know today is National Chocolate Covered Anything Day?! So if you’re a chocolate lover like me, lets celebrate!  I’m a big fan of fruit dipped in chocolate, especially strawberries but I also have a sweet tooth for marshmallows drizzled in chocolate.  Sometimes I like a more savory option, so I go for chocolate covered pretzels, or potato chips.  If you could dip anything in chocolate, what would it be?

Winter Activities!

Rusty here,

Hello everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!  Silver, Copper, and I all went sledding together, we had so much fun!  Sledding with my friends is one of my favorite winter activities.  Snow tubing is another favorite of mine.  It’s basically the same thing as sledding, except you sit or lay in an inflatable tube instead of a sled or toboggan.  Next weekend, we might try to learn to snowboard, I’ve heard it’s kind of tricky but I think with enough practice, I’ll get it down.  As long as you get outside with some friends to enjoy the snow, the long, chilly winters aren’t so bad!  There’s sledding, snowboarding, skiing, building a snow dragon, snowball fight, ice skating, the possibilities are endless!  What are some of everyone’s favorite things to do outside in the winter?  Be sure to bundle up!

Until Next Time,

Rusty

P.S.  16 more days until Christmas!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Rusty here,

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving, I know I did!  Did anyone here go Black Friday shopping?  I heard the deals were insane!  I opted not to go this year, the stores get pretty crazy already, no reason to add a fire breathing dragon into the mix.  I like to just wait for Cyber Monday anyway to get my holiday shopping done.  Then it just gets shipped right to my dragon lair, how convenient!  Can you guys believe December is here already?  Time really flies when you’re having fun!  Now is the perfect time to get to your favorite tree farm to get a Christmas tree.  I personally like real tree the best because they smell AMAZING, but man are they messy!  I’ve seen some wonderful artificial trees too.  My best friend Silver said they make this spray now that you can spritz all over your tree, real or artificial, to make it smell like a fresh cut pine!  I think I might try that out this year actually, to avoid the mess.  What kind of tree do you prefer?  Real or artificial?  Tall or short?  Full or thin?

Until Next Time,

Rusty

Happy Thanksgiving!

Rusty here,

Gobble Gobble! Can you believe it, the time has come, it’ Thanksgiving!  The one day a year I can stuff my dragon belly full with all things food and not feel totally guilty about it.  I may not be able to walk or fly later tonight but all i can think about is the insane amount of mashed potatoes and turkey I’m going to consume at dinner.   Not to mention the green bean casserole, turkey stuffing, dinner rolls, and you can’t forget the pumpkin pie.  What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes to eat? Thanksgiving isn’t just about a table full of delicious food, it’s about gathering with your friends and family to remember how thankful we all are for each other.  I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving day spend with loved ones eating mounds of food!  Give Thanks!

Until Next Time,

Mickey’s Birthday & National Play Monopoly Day

Rusty here,

If any of you are huge Disney fans like me, then maybe you already know, it’s Mickey Mouse’s birthday today! The Disney icon first made his debut in 1928 starring in “Steamboat Willie.” 91 years ago, he was the mouse that started it all.  Just imagine the party his friends are throwing for him today, I bet it’s one for the ages!  In the spirit of his birthday, I am going to celebrate him by watching some of favorite Disney movies, such as Pete’s Dragon, Maleficent, and Coco. Happy Birthday Mickey!  The fun doesn’t end there, tomorrow, November 19th, is National Play Monopoly Day!  I know, I know, you might be thinking that game takes FOREVER to finish, but it can be a lot of fun!  Just gather your friends and family, a bunch of snacks, and enjoy!  There are so many different types of monopoly board games.  Some that I’ve never even heard of, include, Chocolate-opoly, Fornite-opoly, they even make a Bacon-opoly!  I think I’ll have to buy that one of those on Amazon quick so I can play that one with Copper and Silver tomorrow!  Mmmm, now I really crave bacon, I better go make some. I hope you are all enjoying your night!

Until Next Time,

World Kindness Day

Rusty here,

Brrrr!  It is getting awfully cold outside, it even snowed a little bit at home!  Not enough snow to make a sweet snow dragon, but it sure was pretty!  I hope you all enjoyed trick or treating Halloween night.  Copper, Silver, and I dressed up as the three little pigs and we ate so much candy that night, I could barely fly home!  Now that October has passed, it’s time to decorate for Christmas right!  I kind of like to jump the gun even though everyone else seems to wait until after Thanksgiving.  I can’t help but jam out to some holiday tunes and put my tree up early. I mean c’mon, what could be better than putting twinkle lights on the tree while listening to all the classics? I am such a softy for the holidays. Aside from Christmas coming up, November 13th is World Kindness day!  That’s something we can celebrate all year long.  Even just a small gesture such as holding the door open for a stranger can show so much kindness and make someone’s entire day!  One time, Copper got a dragon sized head cold so I stopped over to give him my famous chicken noodle soup.  He was very grateful!  There are just so many ways to spread kindness and remember, it costs nothing to be kind to one another!  What are some ways you guys have been kind to others or how have others been kind to you?

National Chicken Wing Day

Rusty Here,

Today is National Chicken Wing Day.  Chicken Wings are one of my favorite foods and I am a huge fan of the mild buffalo sauce that can be put on the wings. Remember, a little bit of ranch with them is always great too!

I prefer the boneless wings over bone in ones.  How about you?

Enjoy this awesome day and go and get some of your favorite wings to celebrate!

Until Next Time,

County Fair

Rusty Here,

The time has finally come!  The County Fair is one week away, and I am beyond excited!

I can’t wait to get a big, delicious funnel cake and I hope that they have a new ride this year that I can try out.  Last year the new ride was the fireball, and boy was that a blast!  I love the rush that you get when you are upside down, which is why the zipper is my all-time favorite ride.

I hope you guys go to the fair to see the animals along with riding the rides and eating some delicious food!

Until Next Time,

Rusty

Mother’s Day

Rusty Here,

Hey friends, it’s been awhile since I’ve talked to you! I have had a very busy year and have had many amazing adventures. I went on vacation to visit my family in California.  Later I took a trip to Florida and went to Disney World. Talk about fun!!  That’s why I haven’t had a chance to write a blog in a while.

I hope you have been enjoying the last little bit of the school year. My good friend Kalista will be graduating this year from High School and she is so excited!  (Between you and me, she has a serious case of “senioritis”).

Yesterday was Mother’s Day.  Did you get to spend some time with your mom? I went to the Dairy Queen and then on a nature walk with my Mom and sister. We had a blast!  We got our mom a present for Mother’s Day too.  It was a happy day.

Oh, I can’t forget about my owner, Linda! She received flowers and chocolate (which is her absolute favorite)!

Keep having a good year.  I will keep in touch more often from now on.

Until Next Time,

Rusty

New Years

Rusty Here,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I spent Christmas with my family and New Year’s Day with Silver. We spent hours doing puzzles. We flew to Walmart and did some shopping for snacks, sparking water, and of course more puzzles. As we were flying home, we spotted a creepy house that had tons of lights.  It was a house on display for people to drive by so of course we flew through it. There were a lot of lights, but the closer to the end we got, the creepier the decorations were.  There was even a clown with glowing eyes! Now that was creepy, and it scared us.  We flew away as fast as we could.

I didn’t make a New Year’s Resolution list this year, but I hope all of you did! If not, then 2019 has just started and there is still time! Hope you all enjoyed the new year and had some fun.

Until Next Time,

Rusty
