Rusty goes to tennis.

Rusty here,

Fall sports are coming up and it’s always hard to pick a sport. For fall I’m going to pick Tennis. The older kids are very good at teaching us younger dragons. I have Rusty goes to tennisgotten a lot better and I hope I make it on the varsity team. Playing against other teams is really fun but challenging. I can’t wait for my first tennis match this fall.

Until next time,

Rusty’s Marching Band

Rusty here,

Depositphotos_38512469_s-2015This week I’m in marching band. I play baritone in the band, it gets heavy to march with. I will be marching at Valley Fair and the parade for the Kanabec County Fair. I can’t wait for when I’m done marching at Valley Fair because, then I get to go on rides. We will take a bus with all our interments. In marching band there are trumpets, clarinets, flutes, trombones, saxophones, baritones, drums, and sousaphones. The cadence that the drums play is the coolest part. I can’t wait to march.

Until next time,

Rusty

Rusty goes to the fair.

Rusty here,

I can’t wait to go to the fair this July. There’s going to be so many rides and food. There’s animals there too.

A few of my favorite things are:

  • The goats,Night shot of Ferris wheel and amusement park lights at Indiana State Fair
  • The funnel cakes,
  • The rides,
  • The Zipper is my favorite ride of all. It was scary the first time, but once you have done it the first time you want to go again that’s how fun it is. There is a lot of rides to choose from so it makes it hard to pick a favorite.

I can’t for the fair.

Until next time,

Rusty

Rusty’s Fourth of July

Rusty, here

Fireworks background for 4th of July Independense Day

For Fourth of July this year I’m going to my cabin. All my family is going to be there. We will water ski, go tubing, and go knee boarding behind the boat. Copper and Silver are looking forward to swimming and jumping on the water trampoline. So we are going to spend a lot of time in the water and outside. Not everybody can sleep in the cabin, so some of my family bring their campers. At night we go out on a boat to watch fireworks. We have a campfire and roast s’mores when we get back from watching fireworks. That’s my Fourth of July this year.

Until next time, Rusty

Rusty goes to Valley Fair

Rusty here,

Today I went to Valley Fair, I’m going to tell you how much fun it was. Valley Fair is big and it’s easy to get lost there but, it’s still really fun. I love going to the water park. The Wave Pool, Drop Slides, and the Lazy River are so much fun. One of my favorite rides is The Wild Thing because it goes very high up into the air. Some more of my favorite rides are the Cork Screw, Renegade, Power Tower, Log Flume, and Steel Venom. All the rides are so fun; I can’t wait to go to Valley Fair again.

Until next time,

Rusty

My favorite part is music time because, we get to sing all my favorite worship songs. All the games and crafts we get to do are so fun. We play volleyball, tag, and other lots of fun games. We make colorful shirts and cool name tags that spell are names with pictures. I can’t wait for next time I go. It was so much fun.

Rusty Celebrates Earth Day

Planet EarthRusty here,

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite holidays, Earth Day! It might not seem like much of a holiday but we should all be thankful for the Earth because without it, we wouldn’t have anywhere to live, unless you wanted to live on Mars or something. My favorite part of the Earth is the sky. It’s my favorite part because I can go flying in the sky whenever I want and the air is always so clean and fresh. Every part of the Earth is great actually. The Earth has everything from waterfalls to canyons, lakes to oceans, mountains to plains, and everything in between! There’s so much to see and do that you can never get bored here. Today, I went out and planted some trees. I think we should all do something for the Earth to show that we appreciate it. So in the future, try planting some trees. Maybe you could ride a bike instead of riding in a car? What is your favorite thing about the Earth? What do you guys think we could do to help make the Earth a better place? Let me know what you think because I want to start making the Earth healthier as soon as possible!

Until next time, Rusty

Rusty’s Trip to Florida

Rusty here,

Hey evAnse Takamaka, Mahe, Seychelleseryone, I’m back from Spring Break and boy did I have a good time! I don’t even know where to start. There was so much to see and do, but I’ll start from the beginning. The first day that I got to Florida, I went to Cocoa Beach. That was the first time I had ever seen the ocean, and it was WAY bigger than any of the lakes I’ve seen around here. I tried surfing too, and got the hang of it pretty fast. At the end of the day after I got nice and sunburn, I got to Orlando and waited for the next morning. I woke up at six in the morning so that I could get to the Disney Parks before anyone else. I did that every morning and went to one park each day. Copper was right about the Safari being fun, and Silver was right when he said the roller coasters were fun. I went on one roller coaster that went as fast as 60 miles per hour! I literally felt like I was flying. All that stuff was fun, but my favorite part was the food! At the Epcot park, there was food from 11 different countries around the world. It’s too bad I didn’t have enough time to try them all. At the end of each day, I would go to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks over the castle. It was a really great way to end the day. It’s too bad I couldn’t stay because I miss the fun and the warm weather. I’ll have to make plans to go back one day, or maybe even some place new. Do you guys have any cool vacation stories? If you do I’m excited to hear them.

Until next time, Rusty

Rusty’s Plans for Spring Break

Castle at Disney World in Orlando, Florida during a sunny day

Rusty here,    It’s almost spring break and I have some big plans this week. As soon as the week is over, I’m going to Disney World in Orlando, Florida! I’ve never been out of Minnesota before and I don’t know what to expect but I’m so excited. Copper and Silver have both been there and they’ve told me how much fun it is.  Walt Disney World was first opened in 1971 and now it’s the most visited vacation spot in the entire world. Over 52 million people visit there each year. That’s more people than the entire population of Canada! There are four different theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. I hope I get to see all of them. There are also water parks, 3-D movies, live performances, roller coasters, and fireworks at night. I’ll be there for four days, so hopefully that’s enough time to fit everything in. Copper’s favorite thing was the Safari in the Animal Kingdom park and Silver’s favorite thing was
