Rusty Plays Basketball

Rusty here,

Basketball is a lot of fun to play and watch. I am one of the point guards on my team. Guards bring up the ball and call out plays.

Basketball can be a really tough sport too.  There are only seven people on my team who are able to play.  Two people are on crutches and one recently got off them.

Last season we had the opportunity to go to state as state qualifiers I sprained my ankle and couldn’t play for a long time. I’m glad I got better and could play in the state games.  Unfortunately, we didn’t win.

I hope we can go to state again and this time, we’ll win.

Until next time,

Rusty goes hunting

Rusty here,

Hunting season is always a blast. I climbed up in my stand and for a while it was really boring.  As I sat there though, I started to see different animals in the woods.  I saw rabbits, lots of deer, a porcupine, squirrels, and a lot of birds. My whole family hunts. Papa and mama dragon got one, my brother and I too. I got a small four pointer this year, I hope to get a bigger one next year.

Here’s a picture of my friend Emma with her deer.

Rusty’s projects

The plan industrial details. A photo close up.

Rusty here,

Do you have school projects?  I do.  My current project is to make a commercial and a poster.  The commercial had to be something we made up.

In my group we came up with Rock^e, they’re painted rocks that can charge your phone. The rocks come in all sizes, colors, and different designs.  Three designs we have so far are: lady bugs, poke-a-dots, and flowers.

My other project is about food.  The poster tells where food comes from, what happens to our food and the pros and cons about food.  There is a drawing of a cheeseburger, a cupcake, steak, pizza, and an ice cream cone.

What are some of your school projects?

Until next time,

Rusty’s Benefit

depositphotos_76774919_s-2015Rusty here,

Benefits are fun to go to, raising money for cancer. My Aunt has one every year for kids with cancer. They do a benefit every year because, my cousin died of cancer as a teen, and she wanted to start the benefit before she passed. There is always a lot of stuff and we raise a lot of money too. I get to help out every year. I think it is really cool to watch the live auction to see how much the quilts go for and who buys them. I also like looking at the stuff on the silent auction too.

Rusty here,

One of the most fun weeks of school is Homecoming week. With a dress up day for everyday of the week. Like PJ day, wear your school sprit color, twin day, wear animal print, and a fun day. At my school on are fun day, we had a movie that you could go to, a carnival, a petting zoo, a game room, or face painting you could go to. We went and watched a Power Puff game, Ironman game, and we had a Pep fest. Homecoming night almost everyone goes to the football game and after the game everyone is invited to the Homecoming dance. Homecoming is so much fun.

Rusty’s First Day Of School

Rusty here,

The first day of school is easy and hard at the same time. Getting to your classes, getting lockers open, and going to different floors are hard. The first day is easy, all you have to do is sit and listen to directions and normally don’t get homework. Almost everyone in my grade couldn’t get their lockers open. To get their lockers open, they ether had to keep trying or had to ask a friend or a teacher.

Rusty goes back to school

Rusty here,

School is about to start, have you gotten all your school supplies? My favorite school day is the first or last day because, they are the easiest days, otherwise my favorite is Fridays. What is your favorite class of the day? I have two favorites they are Gym and Band. School can be a lot of fun sometimes. At my school we had a band come and play for us it was so fun.

Rusty’s checkers game

Rusty here,

Have you ever played checkers? Well I have. On the board I like how you can only have the pieces on the black. It’s cool how checker boards come in all different designs.

  • Circles that are black and red.Checkers
  • Castles, horses, knights

Sometimes I like to play by myself and see what side will win or just play with the pieces. Why don’t you visit me and we will play checkers some day?

Rusty’s Mission Trip

Rusty here,

Last week I went on a mission trip in Minneapolis. My mission was to help the homeless. My group and I had so much fun helping the people out. Went to food selves, gardens, thrift stores, canned-food-supermarket-bucharest-romania-april-stand-40007107churches, and the Salvation Army. The food selves were at a Lutheran Church. At the church we stocked selves, made boxes for families, and went through produce. The Lutheran Church has many little areas inside of it. There is the food pantry, dairy section, produce section, place for books, toys, and a clothes area. Also my group went to a thrift store and a field. In the field we hand-picked corn, boxed it, and then bagged it. My group and I piled clothes at the thrift store. We gave care packages to Salvation Army, it felt really good to hand out care packages out to people who need them. That mission trip was super fun.
